Fake Beach Date

Down past Huntsville is a town called Guntersville that has a massive lake. Part of that lake is a fake beach. It's not very big, but it's a cute patch of the lake with sand and shells and it'll do in a pinch since the actual ocean is 5 hours away. Justin and I went on a day trip/day date to this beach and the weather was fantastic for it.

The first thing you come to before the beach is a water treatment area that has animals in it. I'm not exactly sure why the animals are there, but they have Emus, goats, and donkeys. The goat and donkeys were off taking a nap, but I snagged this quick shot of one of the Emus before we drove to the beach.

We didn't stay there as long as I wanted to, but it was still a nice time.

If you're ever in Huntsville, do yourself a favor and head out to Guntersville and see the little fake beach!
